An internationally renowned consultancy brand is looking for a Senior Financial Controller in Stockholm, to manage and develop the financial accounting, reporting and processing functions of its business in Sweden. In other countries, the group has achieved huge international growth over the past 20 years. The intention to accelerate the growth of its business in Northern Europe now drives the need for a qualified and experienced Finance Professional to take on the next stage of the development of the finance function.

Reporting to the Managing Director for Sweden and with dotted-line reporting to the Regional Finance Director, one of your principle objectives will be to adopt and to realise the vision of the organisation through your financial leadership and overall approach.

Arbetsbeskrivning
- Financial Reporting - responsible for timely and accurate preparation of all financial reporting, including monthly management accounts.
- Financial Control - in line with group policies, enforcing, developing and implementing financial processes to control the business as it grows.
- Performing cost reviews and implementing changes to control cost within the business.
- Planning - responsible for the preparation and management of the annual budgeting process for the region, management of the re-forecasting.
- Financial management - improve the financial and management information provided to non-financial managers of the business, developing close working relationships with them.
- Ad-hoc projects - supporting commercial projects related to the continuing growth and development of the business.
- Taxation compliance - managing the process and preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns (liaising with external partner).
- Systems development - review, devise and implement changes to the accounting systems (in conjunction with Group Finance and IT functions) to ensure that processes are continually improved to keep pace with the business.
- Team management - management and development of a small but growing team.

Vem söker vi?
- Qualified professional with a Master Degree in Finance.
- A minimum of 5 years broad-based experience of all aspects of financial management in a small/medium-sized company. Alternatively, controlling experience from a bigger company.
- Strong technical and accounting knowledge and demonstrable experience of financial control, through balance sheet reconciliations, P&L reviews and maintenance of financial processes.
- Experience of working in an international and quick decision making environment.
- Experience of financial reporting with tight deadlines.
- Strong IT skills and with proven knowledge of accounting systems.
- Able to establish good working relationships with all areas of the business, at local and group level.
- Accurate and keen attention to details.
- Ability to take initiative, proactively solve problems and improve ways of working.
